Arsenal are set to follow up on their interest in France international forward Andre-Pierre Gignac, according to ESPN Deportes.
Journalist Jordi Blanco reported that the 31-year-old has drawn the attention of the Gunners after they have unsuccessfully tried to buy the striker on two occasions, the first time being all the way back in 2009.
Gignac is currently a part of the Mexican club Tigres UANL after making a shocking transfer to Central America in the summer of 2015. He was called up to France international team by coach Didier Deschamps back in 2015 and he helped his team of Euro 2016 to the final of the tournament. His received his last call up back in October and hasn’t played with the international team since then.
He has been a prolific goalscorer for Tigres despite the lower quality of the Mexican league, and so far he has picked up a whopping 56 goals in 94 appearances throughout his two years stay at the club.
