Chelsea linked with double raid on Arsenal

Chelsea could be the latest club to raid Arsenal for talent as CaughtOffside reports that the Champions League winners are after Theo Walcott and Bacary Sagna. The Blues are in need of a right-back after Jose Bosingwa was let go, and Sagna has been one of the most consistent right full-backs in the Premier League over the last few years. The Frenchman is integral to Arsenal’s defence, so Arsene Wenger is unlikely to dispense with him. But the Gunners have struggled to keep hold of their stars due to a lack of success and the 29 year old could be tempted to head across London to the Stamford Bridge.

The Walcott link is more intriguing as Chelsea already have a potent attack force, which has been boosted by the arrivals of Eden Hazard and Marko Marin. Porto’s Hulk could also arrive this summer and add to the mix Ramires and Daniel Sturridge, Chelsea’s right-wing area is well covered. There have been suggestions in the past that Arsenal were unlikely to renew Walcott’s contract but the winger is still only 23 years old and while he has been a frustrating figure at times, his talents are undoubted.

While Walcott’s contract extension has not been discussed by Arsenal, but could end up with him being sold, I think there is absolutely ZERO chance of Wenger selling Sagna, especially to Chelsea!

wenger need to find the root cause of this current influx of players wanting to leave the Emirate stadium. Arsenal is a wonderful team with great reputation and fame. This player revolt is not a good sign and not healthy for the gunners. the players and us the fans need trophies. Now, if wenger wants to impress the share holders, then his days at Emirates are number. (mark my word!!!)
