Confirmed ! – Scouts Confirms Wenger’s Bid For €60million-rated attacker

Arsenal Banter brings you latest update on Arsenal news from top media sites like Daily Mail, Metro, The Express, The Independent, The Telegraph, SkySports and so on.

According to reports from Portuguese outlet A Bola, Arsenal had sent scouts to Portugal to cast a close eye on Yacine Brahimi during Porto’s encounter against Feirense.

Following consecutive defeats against Everton and Manchester City, Arsenal’s Premier League title challenge has stuttered a bit in recent times and the Gunners have now fallen a sizeable nine points behind leaders Chelsea in the standings.

Although the gap can still be closed down in the coming weeks, Arsenal certainly do not have any more room for errors if they are to harbor hopes of ending their long title drought during the current campaign.

In addition to winning matches, Arsenal also perhaps need to strengthen their squad in the upcoming January transfer window in order to boost their chances of winning the title and signing attacking players could potentially be a compulsion for manager Arsene Wenger, due to the lack of numbers currently at his disposal in the aforementioned department.

A number of names have been linked with a move to Arsenal over the past few weeks and Porto star Yacine Brahimi has been mentioned one of the many targets for the Gunners.

Brahimi has been one of the most sought after attacking players in Europe since making his mark at Porto over the past few years and a number of high profile clubs have been linked with a move for the Algerian international in recent times.

Arsenal are also said to be admirers of Brahimi’s abilities and now according to reports from Portuguese outlet A Bola, claims have been made that the Gunners had sent scouts to monitor the 26-year-old during Porto 1-1 draw against Feirense in the Taca da Liga on Friday night.

The presence of Arsenal’s scouts during the clash has led to suggestions that the North London giants could well be making a move for Brahimi, who has a €60 million release clause in his contract, during the January transfer window and it will be interesting to see how the story develops in the coming days.

While Arsenal are currently short of players in the striking positions, Brahimi’s potential arrival will allow Alexis Sanchez to continue leading the line for Arsenal and the transfer will surely be welcomed by the Gunners’ faithful.
