Arsenal Banter brings you latest update on Arsenal news from top media sites like Daily Mail, Metro, The Express, The Independent, The Telegraph, SkySports and so on.
We’ve thought we’ve had enough of it when the November curse was lifted and December finally came around.
However, just a few hours into the new month, we were dealt a major blow as Spanish international Santi Cazorla was ruled out for a further three months following his ankle surgery.
The Spanish international suffered an Achilles injury in our 6-0 thumping of Ludogorets in mid-October and has not made an appearance since then.
And, following the Spaniard’s latest setback, a large section of optimistic we were calling for the boss to do the unthinkable – bring back the club former captain Cesc Fabregas back to north London.
He couldn’t, could he?
Many fans still hold a grudge with Fabregas off the back of controversial moves to Barcelona and Chelsea but it appears they’re willing to forgive the 29-year-old amid an injury crisis in midfield.
Fabregas has only made four Premier League appearances under Antonio Conte this season and has been linked with a transfer to Italy – could he be set for a move closer to home, though?
Here’s how some Arsenal fans reacted to the news that Cazorla requires surgery on his ankle…
Should Wenger bid for Cesc in January to fill the Cazorla/CM void? #afc

Might be an unpopular choice but with Cazorla out for a further 3 months I would re sign Fabregas to play the role Santi does so well

Only one replacement for Cazorla's injury: Cesc Fabregas.
