Alexis Sanchez should leave Arsenal to see his dream of winning Champions League come true, according to Chile legend Ivan Zamorano.
The 28-year-old has been subjected to intense speculation after he refused to sign a new deal for Arsenal.
Premier League rivals Manchester City and Chelsea have indicated interest in adding Sanchez to their ranks, who announced during the Confederations Cup that he had already made a decision over his future.
And former Chile, Real Madrid and Inter Milan striker Zamorano feels that decision should be to move out of the Emirates and move to a club that will help him achieve his dream of Champions League trophy.
‘He’s a guy who has goals and ambitions, they’re fundamental to making a choice. I think he likes to win,’ Zamorano toldSFR Sport.
‘What he wants, above all, is to win the Champions League, and I don’t think he’ll have that possibility at Arsenal.
‘He must know that he will be more useful in a bigger team. But it’s his decision, his personal choice.
‘Whatever happens, Alexis will be at the level he deserves to be and which he must achieve.’
Arsenal will not be playing in the Champions League next season following a disappointing season where they finished fifth in the Premier League under manager Arsene Wenger.
The French boss hopes a productive summer window will help instigate a return to form with Alexandre Lacazette set to become the club’s second signing.
