Have Arsenal Completed Giroud Deal?

If the French media is to be believed, it is an odds winner that the Gunners have already agreed with French side Montpellier on a transfer fee for their season long transfer target Olivier Giroud.

The French forward who has emerged as a world star goal scorer ever since Montpellier started to fight for the Ligue 1 trophy two seasons ago, has had an amazing last campaign with the French club, managing to become the best scorer in the league and taking his team to their first ever Ligue 1 title.

The club-level performances didn’t go unnoticed on the international stage, and Blanc’s action to call him up to the national squad earlier this year proved a won bet as the striker scored in his first full match played for the French.

Arsene Wenger has been linked with the 25-year-old for the whole length of the season, and according to France Football the deal has finally reached a verdict, and it’s now only a matter of announcing the signing.

Giroud is currently away on International duty with France, and it seems that the Gunners will announce his arrival once he returns from Poland where France is well on its way to the knockout stages, having won four points from the first two games against England and Ukraine.

Does this have any bearing on the RVP situation or is he replacing Chamakh/Paddy Power as a back up? at 50k a week seems like a great deal with Podolski and now Giroud its been a great start to transfer dealings as an Arsenal supporter I’m pleased with these signings and will hope foe more quality players to be brought in
