Arsenal must secure top signings before the end of the transfer window that is just 20-days if they are to have any chance of winning the Premier League title this coming season.
There is a report according to the Guardian, which claims the Gunners are getting close to secure the signing of German and Valencia international Skodran Mustafi after it’s said that the German world-cup winner has agreed terms with the north London club.
However, there’s a report elsewhere suggesting “the Gunners must hold onto their key stars as well and record signing Mesut Ozil is surely one of them.”
Ozil, who’s the reigning German Player of the Year, with the Gunners, he is earning $181,000-a-week (£140,000-a-week). There was a report in May that suggested that the north Londoners are looking forward to offer him an improved deal worth £200,000-a-week, according to The Independent.
However, there is now a latest report from a German newspaper Bild (via SkySport) claiming the assist king would be willing to a new contract with his former club should the opportunity presents itself, although it is said that he is looking to agree terms on an improved deal with Arsenal.
The 27-year-old created no fewer than 19-goals in the Premier League last season for the north Londoners and despite this, he was still short-listed for the coveted PFA Player of the Year award which was awarded to Riyad Mahrez of Leicester City.
