Arsenal star and German playmaker Mesut Ozil has record his first assist of the season for his country during the Germans win over the Czech Republic yesterday.
The 27-year-old Arsenal’s skipper played the full 90 minutes that leaves them top of Group C with six points after two games.
Ozil set up Thomas Muller’s opening goal in the 13th minute.
Up until tonight, Ozil had been unable to register a single assist for club or country. This may come as a shock to Arsenal fans seeing that the former Real Madrid playmaker racked up a total of 19 assists last season for the Gunners.
In-fact, Ozil was just one assist of equalling the Premier League assist record of 20 set by the Arsenal legend Thierry Henry.
Arsenal fans will be hoping Ozil can now provide an assist for the Gunners when they take on Swansea City next weekend.
Swansea recently appointed the former USA international boss Bob Bradley as their manager.
