January’s Over But Arshavin’s Still Close To Leaving

Anzhi Makhachkala’s offer for 30-year-old Russian striker Andrey Arshavin was confirmed today as Arsenal’s winger might still leave his club if things go smoothly with the transfer talks.

Arshavin has the chance to get himself a king’s payment and move back to his own country even though the January transfer window shut in England. Russia’s transfer period is still active until February the 24th, and according to rumours the Russian star is wanted at the club which seems to be following the same transfer policies as PSG or Manchester City.

Eto’o is happy at the club, and according to him he might even retire at Anzhi, so perhaps a move wouldn’t be bad at all for Arshavin who has been out of form and out of luck at Arsenal lately.

With Chamberlain building momentum and Gervinho almost done with International duty at the African Cup of Nations, Arshavin is again sure to become a certain sideline player as he has been all season long.

Arsenal fans have been waiting for a chance to wish Arshavin farewell for a while now, so the Russian will probably snatch at the chance if Anzhi will submit an official offer for him.

In my mind he has never been happy on the left wing he was playing second fiddle to nasri and now he.is behind gervinho walcott chamberlain and may be even rosicky and benayoun. unfortunately for him the manager does not have enough faith in him to change the formation to suit him to be quite honest.if we.can land hleb on a free during this month i would take the.cash on ogfer.for arshavin. even without hleb i probably still would.

gr8 player, but wasted by wenger, he needs to play just behind the striker in a free role where he doesn’t have to track back because he does get a lot of goals and assists
