Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny is considering a move back the French top flight after Marseille made contact with him.
The Phocians have a lot in their purse and are ready to splash the funds to ensure they sign the centre-back who have become their top priority for the next transfer window.
Marseille have indicated their interest in the defender and are hoping to lure him down to form a partnership between him and Dimitri Payet and Patrice Evra in the back-line in January.
A source told Yahoo, saying: “If Marseille can attract Dimitri Payet, Marseille can do the same with Laurent Koscielny. Why not?”
Marseille are also linked for a move for Koscielny’s teammates Olivier Giroud, who has find it hard to land a permanent spot in the first team this season.
