There isn’t much news afloat regarding our big signings but Arsenal are still pushing Arsene Wenger’s youth policy by trialling the highly rated French under-18 international, M’Baye Niang.
Many of you probably haven’t heard of him but he’s rated as one of the hottest talents in Europe. He made his first start for the Ligue 1 side, Caen at the tender age of 15. He even managed to score 3 goals in 7 games to boost Caen’s fight against relegation that season.
He now is at a more balanced and advanced age of 17 and will most likely be looking to progress his career.
He has the typical features of a target man. He peaks in over 6 feet and has immense body strength for a player so young. He also features a lot of pace which makes him extremely dangerous. However, he is more able than your average target man. He can play to the feet and hence is more unpredictable. It really does work for him and creates advantageous situations for him whilst attacking. He is the complete striker and can also feature anywhere across the front-line making him a very versatile player – something key for a modern player’s development.
His trial should start very soon at Arsenal and there are talks that he could cost us £5 million. However, that is a bargain. He is quality and will definitely be fast tracked into the first team squad with the likes of Serge Gnarby (another highly rated Arsenal player) next season.
Hopefully we can sign this talented youngster. However, let’s all hope this is just the beginning of a fruitful summer.

Yes, I really hope we sign this guy. He can probably contribute something already, and with a couple of years experience, will probably be a quality player. With him and Afobe, we would have 2 versatile forwards of high potential.
Cant say much about this. There have been many quality players at Arsenal who have just come and gone, without being given any chance. Barazite, Simpson, Vela, Sunu, Ozyakup, Freeman and more recently Bunjaku, all have been praised highly by the Arsenal coaches, but they never given any chances. There are still Sanchez Watt, Wellington Silva and Afobe in the ranks, but I feel that they will also be sold sooner or later. Niang may just be another one of those.
He culd be very very good, football manager rate him very very highly, but he wnt win us titles rite now, he wnt make rvp sign a new deal, however I believe in wenger and trust his decisions, Arsenal is stil a top team, and I rather us sign the best young talent dan see dem player for another team, remember arsenal culd have signed aguero, messi, modric, hazard, da list is endless, but I know we cnt sign everybody.
Sign Good Player Not The Bad Ones.
will he be given the work permit though? i don’t think so. unless he gets a special talent permit like Ryo.
Would love for him to develop his talents with us.
I ve absolute trust in Wenge’s decisions. He knows best
