Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspurs will be going head-to-head in the signing of Real Madrid’s and Spanish international Isco.
Tottenham are said to be on the verge of concluding the signing of the Spaniard on a season long loan, with an option for a permanent deal for the playmaker next summer, according to a report in the Sunday Mirror.
However, Isco has also attracted huge interest from Chelsea, but it’s the north London club duo that can offer Champions League football. Spurs and the Gunners are the only Premier League giants are the only known favourites to secure the 24-year-old’s services.
According to ESPN FC, the report suggest that the former Malaga midfielder has been available for transfer out of Bernabeu after the Los Blancos president Florentino Perez blocked attempts to sign his teammates James Rodriguez.
The 24-year-old Colombian has been the subject of strong interest from Chelsea and Italian league champions Juventus. I believe an initial loan for Isco is likely to suit the Gunners as well as Tottenham, whose bid for Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha was rejected las week.
The lone issue is whose bid for the £30m rated would be accepted first, either that of Arsenal or Tottenham is left for the European champions to decide.
