Fenerbahce are reportedly stepping up their interest in Lucas Perez again.
Fenerbahce were previously rumored to be interested in acquiring Lucas’ signature, who is looking to move away from Arsenal this summer after just one year with the North Londoners. However, the reports died out to the Gunners requesting for £16m for the 28-year-old.
According to Fanatik [via talkSPORT], the Turkish club have renewed their interest in the forward and could make an offer for him this summer after all. They have even scheduled this week for negotiations, although it will be for a loan move rather than a permanent deal.
Fenerbahce aren’t the only club interested in Lucas.
His former club Deportivo, where Arsenal bought him from for £17m n the previous season, as well as Espanyol, Sevilla, and Malaga, are still said to want to bring the forward back to Spain this summer.
Lucas is still contracted to the Gunners for another three years. However, after only playing 21 games across all competitions last term, he’s eager to leave in search of more playing time.
The Spaniard, who dreams of playing for his country, also spent a combined 82 days on an injury enforced leave.
