Could Arsenal be planning a late summer move for Everton midfielder Ross Barkley?
That’s raised a possibility in the Mirror on Thursday.
The paper had readers hoping for a deal with the following:
Arsenal are considering a late move for Ross Barkley. Tottenham and Chelsea are in the mix for the Everton midfielder.
Arsenal like him but have got plates spinning as Man City try to get Alexis Sanchez.
On Thursday, news broke out that Chelsea had made an official bid for Ross Barkley.
According to the reports, Chelsea made an offer worth £25 million to Everton for the England international. That bid
was reportedly turned down.
Everton, of course, have been reportedly holding out for closer to £50 million for Barkley.
Barkley’s move from Goodison Park is complicated.
The 23-year-old missed on the Toffees’ pre-season campaign after undergoing surgery on a groin problem.
And the attacking midfielder has since sustained a fresh setback, having pulled up with a hamstring problem during a training session. Barkley might not be seen gracing the pitch for up to three months.
