Arsenal Banter brings you latest update on Arsenal news from top media sites like Daily Mail, Metro, The Express, The Independent, The Telegraph, SkySports and so on.
Arsenal’s and Chilean international Alexis Sanchez future at Arsenal has been put in serious doubt, according to recent reports.
And if the reports making the rounds are anything to go by, Arsene Wenger has reportedly contacted Juventus for the services Miralem Pjanic as his side prepares a £28million bid for the Juventus star.
According to Metro, Italian giants Juventus are reportedly lining up an audacious swoop for Arsenal contract rebel Alexis Sanchez.
The report also went on claiming that he front page of Italian newspaper Tuttosport claims the Serie A champions are plotting an ambitious transfer package that could see highly rated Bosnian international Miralem Pjanic included as part of a swap deal.
Sanchez, who has 18 months left on his current Arsenal contract, is locked in tense negotiations with the club over the details of a renewed deal with the 28-year-old thought to be demanding in excess of £280,000-a-week in order to stay with the Gunners.
The likes of Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City and a host of Chinese Super League teams are thought to be monitoring Sanchez’s situation but it is Juventus who hope to tempt Arsene Wenger into an early sale.
The midfielder would be a top signing for virtually any side, but it’s still far from guaranteed that Arsenal would entertain the sensational offer if it was made, such is Sanchez’s importance to the side.
Sanchez has gone some way to filling the Gunners’ need for a world-class prolific goalscorer this season, notching 16 goals and 13 assists already in all competitions.
His form has also attracted attention from Premier League rivals Chelsea, who are considering him as a potential replacement for Diego Costa if he leaves Stamford Bridge, according to the Mirror’s Darren Lewis.
