Redknapp still thinks that Spurs can catch Arsenal for Third Place

Just a few weeks ago it looked certain that Manchester United would win the Premier League title but now that is looking at risk tonight, but also Arsenal looked sure to take Third Place.

But after taking just two points from three games the Gunners have allowed the chasing pack a bit of hope as Spurs can move back to within a point of Arsenal with a win over Bolton in midweek.

Tottenham had no trouble taking the three points off a woeful Blackburn yesterday, and Redknapp was asked after the game if he thought that Tottenham could still finish third, and he said: “We’ve just got to keep going and you never know what will happen. Who’d have thought Wigan would pull off that result at the Emirates.

“Now we just have to focus on ourselves and make sure we do everything to win our last three games.”

“I’ve always said there will be twists and turns.

“It’s all to play for. We’ve got a couple of difficult away games this week at Bolton on Wednesday and then at Villa on Sunday.”

Arsenal must face Norwich on Saturday at the Emirates and then play away at West Brom in the final game, but after three games without a win could nerves be setting in?

He is not saying they will but he is saying they can. Bottom line is that they can if we do not get max points from our last 2 games.

Arsenal have let us down in the last three games. The whole thing boils down to lack of quality in the team. Arteta is out and we struggle more so, with the continuous feature of Ramsey in the middle. This guy contributes very little to the flow of the game but Wenger has refused to see that. How can Wenger continue to play the same combination that has hardly won us any match before? I would prefer him to try those young lads and change the formation for a difference. It is very easy for teams to stop us from scoring and I foresee a disaster in the last two matches if Wenger does not change his approach. A draw in any of the matches and Spurs winning their last three, means Arsenal cannot get third place and perhaps the fourth place too because Chelsea is coming on strong.

Chelsea have a very good chance of winning the Champions League so we have to finish 3rd.

West Brom have recently beaten Chelsea and Liverpool, they hammered 3 into Blackburn’s net, 6 into Sunderland’s and they are now managed by the NEW ENGLAND MANAGER who has something to prove. West Brom are not going to be easy.

Norwich beat Spurs earlier this month.

It’s not clear cut, especially with Arteta out.
