Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Theo Walcott has returned to the Emirates for Saturday’s FA Cup fifth-round tie against Southampton after recovering from a calf injury.

The English man has not appeared in any match since he sustained the injury last month in a match against Manchester City but is now fit to return to the squad, while Per Mertesacker and Mathieu Debuchy have also returned to full training.

The Gunners are extremely short on midfielder with Granit Xhaka starting a four-game ban after he was issued a red card in Sunday’s 2-1 victory against Burnley while Mohamed Elneny is away on international duty with Egypt and Santi Carzorla out with an Achilles problem.
