As per this morning’s press conference, gooners have been handed a boost with the boss announcing the availability of Lukas Podolski back in contention to feature in the upcoming fixtures as the gunners fight to maintain their impressive start to the marathoneous English premier league and probably set real claim to their title aspirations by cementing their position in the leading role.
The gunners though are trading very risky waters as they’ve played close to the entire half of the season with just one striking option upfront in Olivier Giroud who many should now be starting to worry for as fatigued.
Now an opportunity seems to have presented itself for the London Colney outfit. Current Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema is being reported by Sports Direct News as subject of a big money move to France’s Ligue1. With Monaco and PSG as the likely destinations as Madrid look to bringing in another world class striker in either Falcao or Luis Suarez. However all circumstances seem to be pointing to Monaco’s direction who were rumored to have been hawking their star striker – Falcao- towards the end of the summer transfer window following the FFF (French football governing body)’s denial of their tax-haven rights. With Monaco being desperate to cut costs, they most likely will be working hard to make sure that they don’t miss out on signing Benzema in a swap deal that will then see Falcao travel back to Spain hence rendering Madrid’s apparent interest in Luis Suarez -who seems open to an exit out of the Mersey side- vanished.
Having showed keen interest in the striker in the summer, this will therefore appear like a golden opening for Arsenal to go back onto the negotiating table with Liverpool for Suarez. Hopefully all this happens as is anticipated, so that the gunners finally get to land their man who would be the perfect solution to their current deficiencies upfront.
