Arsenal Banter brings you latest update on Arsenal news from top media sites like Daily Mail, Metro, The Express, The Independent, The Telegraph, SkySports and so on.
Arsenal are reportedly close to sealing aa deal for 17-year-old Manchester City winger Jadon Sancho, a development which the Premier League side are not satisfied with (via The Sun).
Despite diving early into the transfer market with the signings of Sead Kolasinac and Alexandre Lacazette, Arsenal’s progress in the transfer market have slowed down.
There have been rumors of an interest in Monaco’s Thomas Lemar which have not yet gone further than the being a speculation but it seem the Gunners could be close to signing another player.
Jadon Sancho is a 17-year-old winger at the Manchester City academy who has attracted a lot of attention from rival clubs across Europe.
Sancho became a familiar name among football fans this summer when he played for England at the Under-17 World Cup this summer, getting honored with the award for the tournament’s best player.
The player was bred in London and sources close to the Etihad have reportedly The Sun that Sancho is a big fan of Arsenal.
“The club is worried Arsenal are front runners for Jadon as he has a soft spot for them,” the source said.
“His family think he might get a quicker path to first-team action at either Arsenal or Spurs.
“One of his heroes is ironically Alexis Sanchez. It’s proving difficult to get him to sign his first professional contract here.
“He is a top player, one of, if not the best in the youth system. It’s not about the money for him at all.”
Jadon Sancho seems to be a target for almost every major club in Europe. His performances at the Under-17 World Cup were excellent and his signing would surely be a major coup for Arsene Wenger and Arsenal. Let’s hope these reports are to be believed.
