The Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has sent out a pretty grim message out to every fan the club has, saying that there won’t be much happening on the transfer market this summer.
Wenger was asked whether Chamakh will stay or leave in the summer, but according to the Frenchman the rumours linking him with Lazio, Bordeaux, Sevilla and a few other clubs haven’t turned into anything concrete yet and the situation is still pretty much in the air.
“Chamakh did well against Stoke,” Wenger said. “Nothing is definite at the moment. At the end of the season there won’t be a lot of movement in football.”
If Arsenal won’t be active on the transfer market it’s hard to see how they can compete for any trophy next season even if they did sign Podolski or not. Furthermore, players like Chamakh, Almunia, Bendtner and Squillaci must leave because they’re purely dead wood and now that the club must limit to 25 players, it’s tough to still keep them and also find a few top quality ones who can join.
we all know that Wenger rarely tells the truth when it comes to his transfer dealings, but what do you think he will eventually choose to do? Will Arsenal finally have a say next season in the trophy fight?
I guarantee you he under promises to over deliver. Never take wengers words on the transfer market to heart. Either way with 2 games left in the season it would be crazy to expect him to say ‘chamakh is definitely leaving right now’. He’s just referring to outside influences in general like the poor economy and financial fair play etc. We will be spending this summer and we will be selling this summer
That’s why we need Stan Kroenke to get lost and Usmanov to take over because if Usmanov is in charge and Wenger doesn’t buy quality players (which Usmanov will give any amount Wenger wants) and doesn’t manage to challenge for the title then Wenger will be increasingly in risk of getting sacked. Which would mean AW would invest on quality players all across the pitch.
Usmanov is a true Arsenal fan, he wants Arsenal to be champions again and he is the 2nd richest man in Britain and 28th richest in the world. He is worth £13.2Bil and richest man in UK Lakshmi Mittal is worth £13.7Bil so technically Usmanov is the richest.
Stan is just taking profits and hoping for a top 4 finish which he would benefit from the massive Champions League payout which he can put in his pocket – £25Mil
Usmanov even offered £150Mil from his own pocket to the board to invest in players and they rejected his offer.
Don`t know about anyone else but I`m getting very tired of the transfer game, there is nothing to inspire Arsenal supporters so, if it is “a quiet summer” it will be followed by “a quiet winter”….again.
Its simple no new players no trophies and RVP will leave…. And ffs clear all that dead wood and a get a creative mid fielder and a back up striker for RVP.

There probably won’t be any transfer movement ‘at the end of the season’. That doesn’t mean there won’t be movement after the euros. You can interpret wenger’s comments any way you want depending on whether you have a positive or pessimistic outlook. This blogger clearly wants to feed the Bethesda amongst his readers. So easy to be negative!
That statement should top the list of what not to say when trying to keep van persie. Wenger is just just plain nuts. What are they doing?

but we shodunt be expecting to sign likes of hazard, goetze or any player that costs over 20M.
