After last summer and the headlines on Monday about Sead Kolasinic, it looks like Arsene Wenger is starting out in the transfer market early this summer.
As per reports, the Gunners boss is keeping tabs on Lyon midfielder and French international Coretin Tolisso, who has been impressive in Ligue 1 this year. The 22-year-old has picked of 14 goals and assisted eight across all competition.
Tolisso’s passing and finishing is excellent, however his defensive skill is still under observation. It’s possible that Wenger wants to sign the Frenchman as a box-to-box midfielder, if the manager goes on using the new 2-4-3 formation next year.
While Tolisso has some attributes similar to that of Granit Xhaka, his presence in at the Emirates could perfectly make up for Santi Carzorla absence. In fact, he could complement Xhaka’s effort in central midfield.
