Would Arsenal fans accept Edin Dzeko if Van Persie goes to City?

It is being reported this morning that Moneybags Man City are struggling to offload one of their expensive strikers to make room for the Arsenal contract-rebel Robin Van Persie, so they have come up with an interesting solution which may (or may not!) be attractive to Arsenal fans.

The Sun is suggesting that Mancini will offer Wenger the choice of a straight cash deal or the chance of including the disppointing Edin Dzeko in as part of the deal.

The giant Bosnian international only scored 16 goals in 45 games for City since his arrival which doesn’t seem to have impressed Mancini, and he is prepared to offload him for Van Persie’s proven Premiership credentials, but surely the previously prolific hitman can only improve in his second season in England.

So back to the question: Would Arsenal fans accept that swap deal?

Dzeko is a decent player he was on fire at start of last season could not stop scoring then mancini kept rotating his forwards and he lost his form if he was to involved in a swap deal i would be happy with that!

Take the deal. Gety rid off Greedyn Greedy Robin, and take a player who’s only been in Prem League for 1 season. We all know it takes time to adjust to the pace, and physicality of the EPL. Dzeko is big, strong, and can header well. Also seems less prone to injuries than RvP. Deal!!

RvP isnt much better than Džeko. I watch Džeko when he play for Wolsfburg and his country, he is world class striker, like Bendtner+Chamakh+Podolski+20 mil. :-)

Yes I would welcome Edin Dzeko 4 RVP simply we got podoliski and giru both left footed so right footed striker like him is very good!

it would be smart for arsenal to take dzeko in return he is a top quality player and weger thinks highly of him..here is a quote from wenger on dzeko last year

“But he is a super player. He is at the very top, when he is at his game”

I’d take that. Injury ridden, nearly 30 yo turncoat that gave us 1 good year in 8 in exchange for Dzecko… All day long

that should be Mr. wenger’s decision if really Edin is the kinda player he will want to replace the poacher(RvP)…for myself, I really don’t think he is much of a different player compared to newly signed Giroud, I think they have similarities with the Frenchman having a bit of the edge considering their current run….No, go in for Higuain,he’s a talent

with Dzekos paycheck i dont think he is arsenal material, plus wenger already bought to new strikers

    @jonny Martin,
I’m with you on this one. A part-exchange deal for Dzeko sounds good to me, especially as he will be on his second EPL year AND Wenger wanted him before he signed for Citeh.
Wage could be a problem though.

I think puting dzeko in the deal will be good enough, as rvp is injury-prone and dzeko can only get better

  19. July 11, 2012 at 11:40 am

If i wer Wenger i would bite his hands off. RVP isnt going to replicate the season past what with his injury record and all. Btw is Dzeko right-footed as wel. That strikes balance in our fowards thus giving us options upfront. Bt only if he can take a wage cut

Defintely a good signing but Arsenal needs wingers who can
put in crosses for Dzeko to score headers from, does the cl
    ub have these wingers ?

If after all the persution, RVP still wnt to go, den lets free him rather than turning to be a nightmare in the club, it is left for wenger to look for good replacement, though is not gonna be dat easy

Yes dzeko is a good player.really arsenal can not false rvp to stay.i no arsenal need him but it seems he does not understand that.so if he insist of going then the deal is ok.

Sell RVP to Juventus for £25-30mill so he doesnt play for a rival and buy Dzeko for £20mill or Lewandowski for £25mill. Simples!

    4-4-2
    Sczcesny
    Sagna Kos Verm Santos
    Walcott Song Arteta Podolski
    Giroud Dzeko/Lewandowski

Yes dzeko is a good player.really arsenal can not false rvp to stay.i no arsenal need him but it seems he is not ready to stay.as he goes he is given chance to others to shine.just as cesc was there he never shines lik that, but when he left rvp was well known.so also is applicable to him.

They can have rvp if they take walcott as well give us dzeko tevez and adam johnson i think that sounds like a great deal

Dzeko is welcome with both hands. If Dzeko doesn’t come, I’m not too sure if Wenger will go any player above 15milion pounds. Dzeko good for us. At least we won’t have to be shopping for another Striker.

Dzeko is pretty much just like Giroud so why do we need two of the same striker? We need a false nine like RVP who can come from deep to complement Olivier.

RVP iS very ungrateful after the patience Arsenal had for him during his injury years. Anywhere he goes to it will not be well him. Please bring on Dzeko, more complete than RVP.

Rvp is great but i dnt c him replicatin d same form as dat of last season..if he decides 2 leave, then let him go. I wish him d best. On d other hand, dzeko is a genius..highest goal scorer 3yrs ago in germany..imagine him scoring a hat-trick against man-u. I think d deal is a gud one+ tevez/adam johnson. Without song, walcolt etc, it wnt be easy 4 rvp..gunners 4 life
