Arsenal’s manager Arsene Wenger has set his eyes on 22 year-old Valencia midfielder Dani Parejo. Although he just transferred to the Spanish team, Parejo is a primary target for Arsene Wenger now that he badly needs midfield reinforcements at the club.
Parejo is a Real Madrid product who made his debut for the team from Madrid in 2008. He was not ready to play for such a big club yet, so he was loaned out at Queens Park Rangers for a season and then sold to Getafe. At the new club he became one of the most important players aged only 20, and he got the transfer to Valencia this summer.
Valencia is about to cash in for the player big time. He was brought to the Spanish club for a fee of €6 million, but Wenger will surely have to pay at least twice that much if he wants to transfer the player in January.
The awful thing about the midfielder transfers Wenger is going to make in January is that everybody knows how bad he needs at least two top players for that position, and they might request big money for some players who have not yet confirmed.
