Arsenal’s Ivorian winger Gervinho wants to persuade former team mate Eden Hazard to join the Gunners as soon as possible. Wenger submitted a transfer fee for the Belgian in the summer, but the attacking midfielder stalled the move to get the chance to play with Lille in the Champions League group stage.
Gervinho and Hazard worked together last season in taking French side Lille to the title win in League 1.
“Hazard is a young player with enormous quality. He has everything it takes to triumph in England.”, said Gervinho.
Arsene Wenger’s interest for the Belgian international is well known but the French manager seems to have other leads as well. If other deals work out for players like M’Vila, Granero or Gotze, Arsenal’s manager will probably stop following the Hazard lead for a while.
According to The Sun the 20-year-old is rated at £25m by French side Lille. Wenger would even be prepared to submit such an offer in January if Arsenal will still have chances to win the Premier League title.
