Alexandre Pato on Arsenal’s Radar?
Judging by the looks of it, Arsenal are going to be very busy in the January transfer window. The Gunners have been linked with numerous high-profile names, the latest of which being Brazilian striking sensation Alexandre Pato.
It seems as though Arsene Wenger has changed certain aspects of his transfer policy and he certainly has the cash to meet Pato’s £45 million price tag. According to the Italian press, the ‘Duck’ is said to be unhappy at Milan and is not having the best of relationships with head coach Massimiliano Allegri who does not consider him to be an indispensable first team player. Moreover, Allegri is looking to raise funds to buy another midfielder and will be tempted to cash in on Pato if the right offer is put forth.
The Brazilian has found the back of the net 50 times in 105 appearances for the Rossoneri and is one of Europe’s hottest properties. Most people tend to forget that he is still only 22 years old and has many years ahead of him. His pace and killer instinct will be well suited to the Premier League and more specifically to Arsene Wenger’s team. Can you imagine RvP and Pato playing up front for Arsenal with Wilshere behind them, seems too good to be true, doesn’t it? Though Milan are holding out for £45 million, I think anything above 35 should do the trick.
I hope Wenger will open his wallet and make an offer for the Brazilian in January. With big-spending Paris St. Germain and Manchester City also said to interested, Le Prof has to move quickly to land his man.
