Wenger set eyes on yet another young star and a potential future transfer target. Marseille’s young hot-shot defender Nicolas N’Koulou became one of Wenger’s most important January transfer targets after the Frenchman had a chance to analyze the team a bit better when he played against them in the Champions League group stage.
N’Koulou is a 21-year-old defender who was transferred to Marseille after playing two seasons for Monaco. He has been one of Cameroon’s first team players since 2008, and now he might be in for the transfer of his lifetime.
The defender is still fighting for a first team spot at Marseille, but with things going the way they currently are, he has a big chance of making the cut really soon if Wenger won’t manage to snatch him in January.
If brought at Arsenal the defender will had a task which is close to impossible to impose against Koscielny, Mertesacker, Vermaelen and Djourou, not to mention the younger central defenders at the club. Do you think Wenger should go for the player?
