Arsenal’s manager Arsene Wenger set eyes on yet another attacking midfielder who can also do a great job on the wing. 21-year-old Romanian star Gabriel Torje is rumoured to be one of Arsenal’s top targets for the January transfer season.
Udinese is about to make a huge profit on the €20 million rated attacking midfielder they just transferred. Torje joined the Italian squad in the summer for a undisclosed transfer fee rumoured at about €10 million from Romanian side Dinamo Bucharest.
The Romanian easily made himself noticed at Udinese where he became a first team player, but the late form of the player sidelined him and at the moment he’s still trying to get a hold of things.
The midfielder made his debut in pro football at a very young age of 16, and at 19 he joined one of Romania’s best teams, only to leave for Udinese soon after. He is considered to be the future star of Romanian football after the likes of Chivu and Mutu got too old to make a difference, and he would surely find a spot in Arsenal’s team if given the chance.
