Arsenal’s interest for Spanish starlet Rodrigo Moreno might not be enough to land the 20-year-old in the summer the way Wenger plans to, now that Manchester City and Manchester United are also in on the transfer.
If a transfer to the Premiership would indeed occur this would be the second experience for him in the Premiership as he spent last season on loan from Benfica at Bolton Wonderers. The striker only managed to appear in 20 games and score 1 goal for the Premiership side, but ever since he rejoined Benfica his achievements have been amazing.
The striker is currently one of the best players at the Portuguese club having scored 12 goals in 20 games so far this season for the Encarnados.
With both Arsenal and United hot on his tail Benfica will probably have to accept losing him, but not for less than £17.5m, the minimum release fee the striker has on his head.
The Brazilian born footballer also showed his skills for the Spanish youth national squads in his time at Real Madrid’s youth academy and a move to the Premiership could earn him the first cap in the senior national squad next to Chelsea’s Mata.
