Arsene Wenger’s indecision might cost Arsenal once again in the summer as Montpellier decided to slap a £16m price tag on their striker Olivier Giroud’s head after the London squad hesitated in transferring him during the January transfer window.
Arsenal’s interest in the current top goal scorer in the League 1 is known from the end of last summer when Arsene Wenger started monitoring him as the 25-year-old started making room for himself in France’s national squad.
Giroud managed to score a whopping number of 16 goals in 23 games so far this season and he’s now placed on the second spot of the league with Montpellier.
Wenger needs Giroud as a replacement for Chamakh who is expected to leave in the summer, and looking over the Frenchman’s stats we can say that he’s going to be a great transfer, but the last striker who came from France, Chamakh, proved to be nothing like what everybody expected of him.
If Wenger will ever bring himself to transfer Giroud, do you think that the Frenchman will be able to adapt to the Premiership gameplay and become one of the stars at Arsenal?
