All the Gunners were a bit worried in the last few months because for some very weird reason, the Arsenal centre-back Laurent Koscielny just couldn’t seem able to score into his own net again, despite doing that for quite a few times in his Arsenal career!
Thankfully the goal drought ended for the Frenchman against Liverpool when he managed to completely cancel out Szczesny’s efforts to save a penalty and the follow-up shot in front of Kuyt. Koscielny brilliantly put the ball into his own net again, giving Szczesny absolutely no chance of stopping it, proving that even though people doubted him, he still has the skills to score an own goal and completely shatter the team’s efforts just like he did against Birmingham in the Carling Cup final last year.
Now, leaving the joke aside, except for the own goal where the Frenchman seemed clueless as to which of his feet he should have used, he played an extraordinary game despite having to face some fierce in-form Liverpool strikers.
Robin Van Persie saved his ass from Wenger’s battering with two incredible goals, but it’s certain that the French defender needs to work a bit on his co-ordination at times!
Maybe Liverpool should employ him because none of their strikers could get anything past Szczesny!
