Was Wenger right to choose Aaron Ramsey against Everton?

There seems to be a big difference of opinion amongst Arsenal fans after Arsene Wenger picked Aaron Ramsey to start against Everton last night ahead of Gervinho or Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Although Wenger was probably expecting a defensive battle in which Ramsey may have been of more help than the other two, in reality the Welsh captain could have made the match less nail-biting if he had put away one of the many chances that fell his way, especially in the first half.

In fact, watching the highlights again on Match of the day last night the game started with: Ramsey miss; Ramsey miss; Ramsey miss; Vermaelen goal; Ramsey miss!

Now we all know that Ramsey will work his socks off for the team, but if those chances had’ve fallen to someone with a little more accuracy in his shooting then perhaps the rest of the game may have been a bit less stressful for us watching supporters.

So which side of the fence are you on? Should Arsenal have started with Ramsey last night?
