Wenger To Offload Podolski And Replace Him With Marco Reus Maybe?

There are reports out claiming that Arsenal boss, Arsene Wenger is looking into the possibility of moving German star Lukas Podolski on in search of a classy wide player.

The report claims Wenger would sell the former Bayern Munich man and use the funds to facilitate the signing of a classy winger. Arsenal are in dire need of natural wingers as the team has lacked pace on the counter and Wenger seems eager to fix this problem. It is believed that Wenger would look at fellow German international Marco Reus in his bid to add pace and flair to the team’s attack.

Podolski who hasn’t had the best of times at Arsenal due to injuries and some poor displays could be keen to try himself out once again in the Bundesliga with Schalke 04 believed to be interested in taking the £10m rated man.

The problem I have with the piece of news is that Marco Reus has literally said he only wants to move to Barcelona and with the Catalans banned from buying this summer and in January, the player looks set to remain at the Signal Iduna Park. Marco Reus would be a great addition to this Arsenal team as he would offer the likes of Ramsey, Cazorla and particularly Ozil an outlet in attack.

He is well gifted technically and also has an eye for goal and his directness of play is something Arsenal can benefit from as they look to challenge to the Premier League trophy next season. Whether Wenger would be able to convince him to give up on his Barcelona dream and move to London remains to be seen.
