Transfer Merry Go Round : Benzema To Arsenal, Suarez To Madrid & Balotelli To Liverpool?

This summer is shaping up to be an interesting one with some top European clubs ready to do some big transfer business. One key area that is set to be in the spotlight is the striking position. Real Madrid, Arsenal and Liverpool all seem set to tinker with their striking department. Real Madrid have a good striker in Karim Benzema but want a better one and their search for a better striker has taken them to Anfield for Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez according to reports. Liverpool hold the ace after he signed a new deal earlier this year and also made the UEFA Champions League. To this end, they will squeeze out every Pound and Penny from any prospective buyer but that is unlikely going to stop Los Blancos from trying. The lure of playing for Real Madrid might also prove too tempting for Suarez.

In a bid to put up an offer that will convince Liverpool to sell, Real will have to raise cash and that means selling off some of their top stars. Karim Benzema is a name that readily comes to mind. Should Suarez arrive, Benzema’s game time will significantly reduce and the ego of the Frenchman won’t take it. Why sit on the bench at Real Madrid when you can play regular first team football elsewhere? Real would also be thinking, why keep a player on the bench when you can sell him for
30million Pounds? The fact that he has just a year left on his contract and the arrival of Suarez which would mean reduced game time won’t encourage him to sign a new deal.

A move to Arsenal could be attractive. Arsenal are keen to bolster their striking options and Wenger been a fan of Benzema would be keen to pounce. What becomes Liverpool’s fate in the event of Suarez’s loss? They would have to buy a big name to replace him and that throws up Balotelli’s name. The maverick Italian forward wants to leave Milan and the fact that the Rosonnerris aren’t in Europe next season is a big catalyst hastening his departure. He has been linked with a Premier League return and it would be a surprise if Liverpool turns to him to replace Suarez.

A big transfer merry go round it is going to be should all these happen but the most important thing is that Arsenal should get a striker that is a step ahead of Giroud.
