After years of losing key players to other clubs, Arsenal seem not to only have made up their minds to ensure all their big name stars put pen to new long term deals way before their deals are due for renewal, they are equally doing the same thing with the youth teams.
Harry Kane could have been playing for Arsenal if the club have acted earlier in getting him to sign a long term contract. The club seems to have however learnt and after announcing young Nigeria defender Chori Johnson has signed a new contract, Arsenal have officially confirmed another youngster Tyrell Robinson has also signed a new contract with the club.
The versatile and very talented midfielder has been a key figure in the Under 18s campaign in both the youth league and the youth FA Cup this season. He helped the under 18 get to the semi finals of the FA youth Cup before they crashed out to Manchester City.
He has now been rewarded with a new contract which will help him settle down to the business of playing for Arsenal. This much was confirmed by a statement on Arsenal’s official website.
The statement reads thus;
“Everyone at the club would like to congratulate Robinson on his new contract and looks forward to his continued progression at the club.”
With the new deal, it means Arsenal will not be forced to lose the midfielder to the likes Manchester City and Chelsea who have both been linked to his signing.
