Wenger is said to be interested in ensuring a new striker is bought for Arsenal in the summer transfer window. This became a priority following the injury suffered by Danny Welbeck which rules him out till March 2017.
Wenger is said to be interested in signing Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid. Although the player currently plays for Juventus in the serie A, Real Madrid are said to be ready to activate the buy back clause they inserted in his contract when he was been sold to Juventus and then sell him to the highest best.
Although Juventus are said to be ready to offer Madrid £8 million in order to remove the buy back clause, this hasn’t stopped Wenger from been interested in the player. And according to reports, Arsenal will table a bid of £39.5 million for the player which they hope will be good enough to convince Real Madrid to sell the player to Arsenal.
With the buy back clause said to be £23.6 million and Juventus said to be ready to offer £8 million, Arsenal’s £39.5 million bid may be enough to convince Real Madrid to see the player to the Gunners rather than let him remain at Juventus.
