While Manchester United fans were in jubilant mood since the signing of Portuguese Jose Mourinho was announced, the same cannot be said of Arsenal fans who have encountered rumours of a bid for their forward Danny Welbeck. According to report, Mourinho is planning a £30 million bid to sign the high rated striker despite he been injured and out till March 2017.
Danny Welbeck was a United player as of 2014 before Louis Van Gaal decided to cash on him and sign Colombian Radamal Falcao for £10 million on a one year loan with the option of a permanent move if he impresses .
Falcao’s loan move was never made permanent and Welbeck went on to woo the Gunners with sublime performances before sustaining a career threatening twice in 2015. The latest injury has seen him ruled out until late October which makes him unable for the Three Lions Euro team.
While Welbeck is far from a clinical striker , his ability to play in any forward position has endeared him to a lot of coaches and seems to be the main reason Jose Mourinho might want him back at the Theatre of Dreams.
