Mark Bosnich has implored his fellow countryman Tom Rogic to not waste any time in agreeing a deal to join Arsenal should such the opportunity come around.
Bosnic who thinks the 23-year-old has what it takes to become an Arsenal player also has confidence that the player will have a lot to learn from the players at the club.
In Australia’s friendly match against England last weekend, Rogic’s performance reignited admiration for him and Bosnic is among the populace that think he will arrive Arsenal with a bang.
The Daily Express quotes Bosnic: “You don’t know until you get there (if the move will suit you personally) but the type of football they play suits Rogic.”
“Let’s not kid ourselves and be brutally honest, if he went there, the man in front of him is Mesut Ozil. However, what a man to learn from, that would be fantastic. It makes it better, you feel 10 foot tall.”
“They’re rumours and you have them through your career, good and bad. They’re just rumours at the moment, they haven’t been verified by either side, but it’s still great news to be linked.”
“In my opinion, he deserves it. He packed himself off abroad and worked very hard. It’s always good to watch him. He just needs to make sure he can do what he did for 15, 20 minutes in the first half [against England] and do it for a bit longer, that’s the key.”
Arsenal are set to make an £8m move for the player who is currently plying his trade for Scottish giants, Celtic. With some reports claiming Celtic have accepted Arsenal’s offer for the player and that the player will undergo medical at Arsenal by Tuesday.
