Arsene Wenger is reported to be considering a bid of £20 million for Colombian and Inter Milan defender Jeison Murillo who impressed in his debut season at Inter last season under Roberto Mancini after signing for the Milan club from Udinese in the summer of 2015.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Colombian is among the top targets of the North London club. Inter Milan appears desperate to sell their top defender after they were told to pay a fine of £39 million to UEFA so as to cover their debts and hence comply with the newly introduced Financial Fair Play rules .
At 24, Murillo has been the target of many clubs who see him as one of the best defenders in the game with the likes of Leicester City, Stoke and Zenith all showing considerable amount of interest .
Arsenal have shown with the signing of Granit Xhaka this season that they mean business and are ready to get their prime transfer targets on time before the season kicks off in August.
