Leicester City wing wizard Riyad Mahrez has told Leicester City that he is unwilling to continue at the Midland club next season. Mahrez has recently been linked to Arsenal and it is reported that his representatives have met with the Gunners to discuss personal terms for the player who scored 17 goals and provided 10 assists in the Premier League last season.
Mahrez later went on to win the PFA Player of the Year award as he fired Leicester City to the title for the first in their history.
Mahrez was signed for £400,000 from Le’Havre in the winter of 2014, before going on to shine at the club for two and half seasons . The winger is reportedly earning as little as £35,000-a-week at Leicester an is said to have had an improved contract at Arsenal. Arsenal have offered £25 million for the player which is less than the £35 million that Leicester value him.
The Daily Sun reports that Mahrez feels that it is the right time to move to Arsenal as he is already 25 years this year. Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, is also eyeing Mahrez’s team mate Jamie Vardy who has a £20 million release clause.
