In his bid to bring more silverware to Arsenal football club, especially the lucrative UEFA Champions league, a feat the club has been longing to achieve, Arsene Wenger has been the busiest of Managers in the transfer market as he look set to strengthen the squad for the forth coming season.
Granit Xhaka was the first to put pen to paper this summer, and the Gunners are looking forward to complete the signing of Jamie Vardy who is currently with the English National team preparing for the Euro’s. According to report, Arsenal will have to wait until after the euros to complete the deal, so as to avoid any distractions. Reports from Squawk.com has it that Vardy has agreed personal terms with the Gunners and his wages is set to double what he is currently receiving at Leicester City.
It is understood that Vardy is undecided on the move just yet, as the foxes are set to offer him an improved contract to remain at the Kings Power Stadium. Despite the fact that Arsenal had activated his release clause, the latest development might further delay his decision on the Arsenal deal.
Should Vardy stay at the Kings Power, he would be walking away from what looks like his final opportunity at a big move, as he turns 30 in January.
