If a report by highly reliable German media outlet SportsBILD is anythng to go by, Arsenal may have been given a very big boost to in the race for the signature of Dortmund’s Henrikh Mkhitaryan. According to a report by SportBild, Dortmund are now very open to sell Mkhitaryan if they are able to get in an experienced replacement for the Armenian international.
And with Gotze surplus to requirement at Bayern Munich, it will not be out of place to believe the world cup winner will be open to a return to his former club. And should Gotze return to Dortmund, which we strongly believe is likely, Arsenal will be free to sign Mkhitaryan.
Although Manchester United are also said to be interested in signing the player, the fact is, he has made it clear in past that he wants to play for Arsenal and under Wenger. The influence of Wenger may well help Arsenal sign the Bundesliga player of the year for last season. Also, the fact that the Red devils won’t be playing in the Champions League next season will be a great factor as well.
His signing will make Arsenal deadly once again. An attack containing Ozil, Sanchez, Mkhitaryan and maybe Jamie Vardy should certainly be good enough to win the league.
