Borussia Dortmund sort after attacker Henrikh Mkhitaryan is set to make a decision on his future this week.
The 27-year-old transfer ‘alert’ was triggered after Dortmund failed to agree terms with the player knowing fully well he has just one year left on his contract with the club.
Mkhitaryan scored 23 goals and provided a staggering 32 assists in all competitions in an outstanding season with the Bundesliga outfit. Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City would be prepared to pay £23.8million (30 Million Euros) for the services of the Armenian International.
Bild claims that Dortmund has demanded Mkhitaryan speak on his future imminently.
Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc is quoted as saying:
“We will make a decision this week [on Mkhitaryan’s future]!”
Arsenal FC looks like an eminent destination for the Armenian seeing that the wingers at the North London Club are not in the best of form and also the player would fancy a Champions League participating team.
Arsene Wenger will have to strengthen and upgrade his attacking options with the departure of Flamini, Rosicky and Arteta.
The Gunners are also in the chase for Inter Milan’s centre-back Jeison Murillo and Chelsea’s Kurt Zouma to strengthen the Midfield and allow the likes of Alexis Sanchez on the wings to run at the opposition defence.
