the 23-year-old has been rumoured as a likely replacement for Kieran Gibbs who has been rumoured to be on his way to Liverpool and has also been linked with both Everton and Southampton. According to reports, Arsenal have been in talks with the player for weeks and are confident he will become a Gunner at the end of the European Championship.
According to the reports, the player is open to leaving Wolfsburg this summer as a result of the fact Wolfsburg’s inability to make it into neither the Champions League nor the Europa league. Confirming the likelihood of Ricardo Rodriguez leaving Wolfsburg this summer, Klaus Allofs who is Wolfsburg’s sporting director was quoted as saying;
“Rici has stated that his future is not with us, But we can live with this decision.”
Real Madrid and AS Roma have also been linked with the signing of the player but Real Madrid who are Arsenal’s real challenge for the Swiss star are said to be more interested in signing David Alaba. Arsenal should find it easy beating Roma to his signing if they are truly interested in signing the player.
