Arsenal has reportedly opened talks with Henrikh Mkhitaryan – who has been linked heavily to the North London Club for over a week now.
Football expert Emanuele Giulianelli has revealed this in his tweet:
Talks Arsenal & Mkhitaryan. Wenger sees him on the right wing. Not sure how advanced they’re at but there has been contact multiple times — Emanuele Giulianelli (@EmaGiulianelli) June 7, 2016
The BVB playmaker is tipped to be a potential replacement for Theo Walcott because of his passing abilities, which will help to create chances and his scoring techniques to help him get some share of goals for himself in the process. He will be able to mount a competition in the midfield, which will in turn boost players like Mesut Ozil and Sanchez to always be at the top of their game.
Mkhitaryan scored 11 goals and provided 15 assists in the Bundesliga last season with Dortmund and will be a great addition to the Gunners setup.
They have been no reports on how far negotiations have gone and we are looking forward to seeing a press release either on Arsenal.com or on BVB website to confirm the future of the player.
Granit Xhaka is the first player to be signed by Arsenal ahead of next season’s campaign and Mkhitaryan might be the second to join in line.
The signing of Mkhitaryan will leave Arsenal with no choice to either sell Theo Walcott to Liverpool for £50million or use him as bait to get Mahrez from the Premier League champions, Leicester City.
