Premier League giant Arsenal is reportedly keeping an eye on German midfielder Mario Gotze’s situation amid an apparent transfer dispute with current club Bayern Munich.
The Germany international midfielder was recently linked with Arsenal’s rivals Liverpool, is said to be keen on seeing out his contract at Bayern Munich.
The 24-year-old Gotze, has a year left on his current deal and has struggled to establish himself at Allianz Arena, and the German side is looking to push him out this summer.
Mundo Deportivo, claim Arsenal are now interest in the former Borussia Dortmund star, as Bayen Munich understandably want to sell him while they can.
The North Londoners are in need of new signings to bolster their attacking options, with Gotze a potentially useful addition due to being able to play up front, as the main striker and on either flank.
The Gunners showed a strong interest in Gotze during his time at Borussia Dortmund, though his valu has definitely fallen since then due to strings of unconvincing form in the Bundesliga, and for Germany at the on-going European Championships.
As a result of his current situation at the Allianz Arena, there may be a real chance for Arsenal to sign Gotze on the cheap and revive the dwindling career of a potentially world class player
