Arsenal fans the world over are keenly interested in seeing the players that Wenger will buy for the club this summer to give us a good chance of winning the title next season. But aside the incoming players, the fans will be monitoring the situation to see those that will be leaving the club. On the outgoing front, reports by both Skysports and the Guardian claim Wojciech Szczesny who spent last season on loan in Italy with AS Roma is set to return back to the club.
This is so as both AS Roma and Arsenal have not been able to reach an agreement on the terms of another loan spell. The Gunners want the Italians to pay 100% of Szczesny’s wages but due to the widely reportedly financial difficulties bedeviling the Italian clubs, Roma is not able to pay Szczesny’s wages despite the fact that the player himself has confirmed he will like to continue in Italy for the time being.
Szczesny is now expected to return to Arsenal once he is done at the European Championship with Poland. And unless another club comes in for him or Roma decides to finally agree with Arsenal’s terms, the Poland international will play for Arsenal next season.
This will mean Arsenal will have three very experienced goalkeepers next season which could be a problem as Wenger is very unlikely to be able to keep all three happy especially as the Frenchman doesn’t seem to be a big fan of rotating his players.
