With Jamie Vardy breaking the heart of Arsenal fans, Arsenal have moved on in a bid to bring in a striker to the club this summer. The latest strikers to join the list of targets are Romelu Lukaku of Everton, Santos’ Gabriel Barbosa and now Olympic Lyon’s Alexandre Lacazette. According to a report by Mirror, Arsenal is keen on signing the striker who has been linked with moves to West Ham and Liverpool in recent time.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger who is currently in France working with Bein Sport as a commentator for the European Championship will personally hold talks with the Lyon striker in a bid to convince him to accept Arsenal’s offer that will see him move to the Emirates before the end of the transfer window.
Lacazette was Lyon’s best player in the French league last season, he netted 21 times to help the former French champions to the second position on the log behind PSG. He was only second to Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the goal chart in the French league last season.
According to the report by Mirror who are quite reliable when it comes to Arsenal news, Wenger and Dick Law will meet David Venditelli who is Lacazette’s agent next season where he will make an offer of £95,000 a week to the 25-year-old striker. Lyon has already rejected three bids from West Ham for the player, the last bid been a £35 million bid.
