After Jamie Vardy’s snub, Arsenal has been looking to get a deal completed this summer to strengthen every aspect of the team.
With the departure of Dani Alves to Turin, reports have suggested that Barcelona are looking to get Arsenal’s young star Hector Bellerin to fill the blank position of a left wing defender.
The camp Nou giants have distinguished Bellerin as a flawless replacement for Dani Alves who arrived Turin yesterday to conclude his free transfer to Juventus.
In the interim, Arsenal has told Barcelona that they are not willing to sell their rising star. The 21 years of age who is relied upon to sign another 5-year contract with the Gunners, is right now in France with the Spanish national team at the Euro 2016 championship.
Guillem Balague and Sky Sports believe the deal will never come to fruition:
‘Barcelona are trying to get Hector Bellerin of Arsenal, and they think they have a chance,’ Balague told SkySportsNews HQ.
‘Arsenal thinks they’ve got no chance whatsoever’.
The full back joined Arsenal youth from the Barcelona foundation set up La Masia in 2011, he enjoyed his quick advancement to the senior team and went ahead to uproot Mathieu Debuchy from the position as the first choice right back.
