Ever since the 2015/2016 season ended, several Arsenal players have been linked with moves away from the club. This includes Theo Walcott, Bellerin, Chamberlain, Gibbs, Sanchez and even almighty Mesut Ozil. However, if reports in the media today is anything to go by, Kieran Gibbs who has been linked with a move to Liverpool, Leicester City, West Ham and Southampton will certainly be playing in Arsenal colours next season.
Gibbs was said to have been frustrated with the lack of regular first team football at Arsenal and will reportedly seek to leave the club this summer but if you believe Guardian journalist Emmanuel Giulianelli, the player has said he will rather stay and fight for his player.
Giulianelli tweeted the following moments ago in regards to Gibbs “Deal cooled down. But Arsenal want to sell in that part of the pitch.”
Could this mean Arsenal won’t be signing Ricardo Rodriguez then? That will be a shame. I personally think it is best if Arsenal and Gibbs part ways. He doesn’t look like he will ever rediscover his old form and considering he is already 26, it is be best for both parties to part.
Arsenal would have spend the wages spent on Gibbs on Ricardo Rodriguez who is a better player and Gibbs would have moved to a club where he will be able to play regularly to give him a chance to force his way back to the England team.
