French side Lyon may have inadvertently handed Arsenal a boost in their pursuit of Alexandre Lacazette. The highly-rated striker has been heavily linked with a summer move away from the Ligue 1outfit, with the Premier Leage a likely destination.
London clubs Arsenal and West Ham have been credited with strong interest in the hitman, and are already thought to have tabled various bids for the striker. It is believed that Arsenal manger Arsene Wenger is set to hold talks with one of Lacazette’s agents over a potential deal.
Arsenal turned their attentions to the striker after being snubbed by England international striker Jamie Vardy, who is expected to put pen to paper on a new long-term deal with the Premier league champion, after England were knocked out of European championship by Iceland two nights ago.
However, French Ligue 1 side Lyon dropped a big hint about Lacazette during pre-season training. The entire Lyon squad, who are currently preparing for the new season in Tignes, France, had an official squad photo.
But there was no sign of Arsenal target Alexandre Lacazette, which fuelled speculation from confused fans about his future. It is believed that Lyon is demanding around £45m for the French international striker.
This Latest development indicates that the French club is ready to sell the striker, with Arsenal the most likely destination, considering the fact that Wenger knows how to lure French players to the North London club.
